The twin goals of knowledge-based artificial intelligence (AI) are to build AI agents capable of human-level intelligence and gain insights into human cognition.
In the course Knowledge-Based AI: Cognitive Systems on Udacity, students will be introduced to the field of Knowledge-Based AI and its connection to cognitive systems. The course covers various fundamentals such as semantic networks, generate and test, means-ends analysis, problem reduction, and production systems. Students will also learn about common sense reasoning, frames, understanding, scripts, planning, logic, and learning. The course explores topics like learning by recording cases, incremental concept learning, classification, version spaces and discrimination trees, analogical reasoning, case-based reasoning, and explanation-based learning. Additionally, students will delve into visuospatial reasoning, constraint propagation, design and creativity, configuration, diagnosis, and metacognition. The course also touches upon AI ethics.
