Natural Sciences
Go to the places where big physics discoveries were made in the past and make them yourself. You’ll visit Italy, the Netherlands, and the UK as you learn basic physics.
The course Intro to Physics on Udacity covers a wide range of topics that explore the fundamental principles and concepts of physics. Starting with the basics of geometry and trigonometry, students will learn how to measure the circumference of the Earth and understand the principles behind object movement through data analysis and kinematics. The course also delves into the forces, acceleration, and Newton's Laws that cause motion, as well as the practical applications of motion in work, energy, and simple machines. Students will also explore how to determine longitude at sea through the study of simple harmonic motion. Additionally, the course covers the fundamentals of electricity, including charge and electric fields. Finally, students will be introduced to modern physics and the open questions that remain in the field.
