This course aims to provide an introduction to the fundamental concepts of time-to-event data analysis, commonly known as survival analysis. It focuses on addressing questions such as the survival rate of patients taking a new drug compared to others, the duration it takes for individuals to secure new employment after becoming unemployed, and strategies to ensure friends remain engaged on the dancefloor at social gatherings. Through this course, participants will gain proficiency in utilizing specialized statistical methods to analyze time-to-event data. They will learn how to effectively compute, visualize, and interpret survivor curves, as well as comprehend the application of Weibull and Cox models.
