Intro to Information Security is a comprehensive course on Udacity that covers the foundations of information security, including the development of a security mindset and understanding essential concepts such as policy and the CIA triad. The course also delves into software security, exploring vulnerabilities and protections, as well as the detection and prevention of malware. Students will learn about program analysis, practical cryptography, and various encryption techniques, including symmetric and asymmetric crypto. The course also covers networks, both wired and wireless, and the protocols used within them, as well as different types of attacks and countermeasures. Additionally, students will explore applications and special topics such as databases, web apps, privacy and anonymity, voting systems, and public policy.
