Purpose and Rationale

Purpose of the Qualification:

The purpose of the qualification is to produce a graduate who is able to demonstrate an academic, professional, and analytical ability in Music. The qualification aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of music.

Key Objectives:

  • Demonstrating academic, professional, and analytical abilities in music
  • Enhancing career prospects by showcasing specialist knowledge in composition, education, musicology, and performance
  • Contributing to the country's economy by making significant contributions to Arts and Culture and the Music Industry

Outcome of the Qualification:

Upon completion of the qualification, graduates should be able to contribute effectively to society by applying their expertise in various aspects of music. They should also be well-equipped to pursue careers in music composition, education, musicology, and performance, thus making a positive impact on the Arts and Culture sector and the Music Industry.
