Purpose and Rationale

Objectives:

  4. Facilitate the development of critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate social theories and research findings.

  5. Encourage graduates to engage in independent research projects to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.

  6. Foster a deep appreciation for the importance of research in advancing knowledge and understanding in the field of social sciences.

Outcomes

  1. Show an understanding and appreciation of social theory and research into social processes and social organisation appropriate to the qualification level.

Assessment Criteria

  • Assignments: Assignments will be designed to assess learners' understanding of the theoretical concepts and their ability to apply them in practical situations.
