Purpose and Rationale

Objectives of Psychology Program

  1. Acquire Knowledge: Understand the theories and methods of Psychology to gain a solid foundation in the discipline.

  2. Understanding Self, Others, and Society: Develop insights into one's own behavior, as well as others and society as a whole, through a psychological lens.

  3. Acquire Social, Behavioral, and Technical Skills: Enhance social and behavioral skills while mastering technical skills used in psychological research and practice.

  4. Prepare for Work in Human and Social Sectors: Equip students with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in careers related to human services, social work, counseling, or any other human and social sector professions.

Assessment Criteria

Integrated Assessment for Advanced Diploma: Social Work

To ensure that learners meet all requirements for the award of the Advanced Diploma in Social Work, the following integrated assessment methods are incorporated:

  1. Multiple-choice tests and examinations: These assessments are designed to evaluate specific knowledge gained in modules.

  2. Paragraph and essay tests and examinations: These assessments aim to assess the learner's ability to integrate material from various sections of a module and construct a critical argument.
