The independent research project, review essay, and seminars conducted at the beginning (project proposal) and end (research findings) of the research project collectively account for approximately 60% of the credit total and serve as the capstone modules.
Integrated assessment methods are appropriately incorporated to ensure the achievement of the qualification's purpose. The University of Natal is in the process of updating its assessment strategies to include the assessment of applied competence for each qualification. Currently, a combination of continuous assessment and traditional written examinations is utilized to evaluate the integration of learning outcomes for each module.
