Purpose and Rationale

This qualification provides learners with specialized knowledge in Physics through in-depth study. It aims to equip them with knowledge of research methodology, the ability to solve problems, and develop theory through independent work and critical thinking. Learners will also learn to use appropriate theory, methods, and techniques from different parts of Physics.

Communication skills in spoken and written English are emphasized, enabling learners to effectively communicate with both expert and non-expert audiences. The qualification aims to produce individuals who have specialized knowledge in the mathematical sciences and can serve the community in various essential roles within the public and private sectors.

    • The institution is in the process of updating assessment strategies to include the assessment of applied competence for each qualification.
    • Currently, a combination of continuous assessment methods and traditional written examinations is used to evaluate the integration of learning outcomes in each module.
