Purpose and Rationale

The purpose of his qualification is to develop in learners a critical understanding of the role of language as the primary form of human communication in society amongst at least two language groups. Learners will develop a sophisticated proficiency in the use of at least one language, increase their capacity to interpret and analyse various forms of discourse, and acquire applied language and communication expertise in Translation.
