Outcomes

Assessment Criteria

In order to demonstrate problem-solving skills through exploration and critical evaluation, one could analyze a situation where there is a shortage of a particular medication in a community pharmacy. By exploring alternative strategies such as contacting different suppliers, collaborating with other pharmacies, or informing healthcare providers of potential alternatives, a solution can be found to address the issue and ensure patients receive the medication they need.

To showcase leadership and interpersonal skills in work teams and multicultural groups, one could discuss a scenario where a diverse team is tasked with developing a new training program for pharmacy staff. By effectively communicating with team members, recognizing and valuing different perspectives, and delegating tasks based on individual strengths, a successful training program can be created that meets the needs of a multicultural workforce.

When planning, developing, and presenting training materials to colleagues and peers, one could draw from both academic knowledge and practical experience to provide comprehensive and relevant information. By relating personal experiences and case studies to academic concepts, the training materials can be engaging and informative, leading to better understanding and retention of the information by the audience.

In order to apply the concepts and principles of quality assurance to all activities, one could implement regular audits and reviews of pharmacy processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations. By establishing quality control measures, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions as needed, a culture of continuous quality improvement can be fostered within the pharmacy practice.

Overall, by applying the elements of the pharmaceutical management cycle and pharmaceutical care to various scenarios, one can effectively demonstrate the ability to solve problems, lead teams, develop training materials, and ensure quality assurance in pharmacy practice.
