Purpose of the Qualification

  • These skills provide opportunities for continued intellectual and professional growth, enabling learners to fully participate in economic activities and make rewarding contributions to society.
  • Another purpose of the qualification is to produce a significant number of Chartered Accountants and Registered Accountants and Auditors for both the public and private sectors in South Africa.
  • The qualification also aims to meet the requirements set by the Public Accountants' and Auditors' Board and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants for individuals to write Part I of the National Qualifying Examination.
