Integrated Assessment: Damelin practices an integrated system of assessment where students are continuously assessed using both formative and summative methods.
Summative Assessment includes:
- Class tests: Students are required to write two theoretical tests, which contribute towards the final mark.
- Assignments: Students must complete one assignment based on theoretical concepts covered in class. Late submissions will be penalized.
- Examination: There is one examination for each module, contributing to the final mark. Marks are calculated based on tests/assignments and the examination.
To qualify for the examination, students need to obtain the required Due Performance (DP) by attending lectures, writing tests, completing assignments, and achieving a minimum 40% average as a semester mark.
Formative Assessments: Continual formative assessments are used to provide feedback on learners' progress in achieving specific learning outcomes. These assessments can include multiple choice tests, short questions, discussion questions, and take-home tests with long questions. Marks from these activities are recorded for feedback purposes within the regulatory framework.
