Purpose and Rationale

The purpose of this qualification is to train statisticians and equip learners with the necessary skills to conduct research in Applied Statistics. Graduates will be prepared to work as statisticians or data analysts in various fields such as Industry, Health, and Government Departments. Additionally, this qualification will provide South Africa with tertiary teachers who have a deeper understanding of Statistics, thereby contributing to the overall knowledge and expertise in the field.
