Purpose and Rationale

Course Objectives:

  1. Provide qualifying learners with a comprehensive understanding of economic theory and empirical applications of economic methodologies in policy-relevant research.

  2. Prepare learners for more advanced training in Economics, laying a solid foundation for further studies in the field.

  3. Guide learners to recognize the significance of sound economic management and the actions institutions can implement to enhance the well-being of South Africans.
