Purpose and Rationale

- The program aims to prepare learners for progression to master's degree qualifications.
- The program aims to foster a problem-solving approach in learning, while instilling ethical responsibility towards future workplaces and the larger community in learners.
Outcomes
- Ability to manage a marketing department as a professional manager.
- Ability to establish and manage own business profitable.
- To be conversant with Strategic Marketing, Marketing Communications, Marketing Research, Small Business Management and Research Methodology.
- Ability to formulate and execute a research study.
- Ability to compile a detailed business plan. Specific critical cross-field outcomes:
- Identify, analyse, formulate and solve problems in which responses display that responsible decisions using critical and creative thinking have been made.
- Working effectively with others as a member of a team, group, organisation and community.
- Organising and management oneself and one's activities responsibly and effectively.
- Using science and technology effectively and critically showing responsibility towards the environment and health of others.
- Communicating using visual aids, mathematical and language skills in the modes of oral and or written persuasion
- Demonstrating an understanding of the world as a set of related systems by recognising that problem-solving contexts do not exist in isolation. Association assessment outcomes:

Assessment Criteria
Qualification is awarded on successful completion of all the prescribed modules at honours level. In addition, the following formative and summative continuous assessments apply:
- Qualification is awarded on successful completion of all modules in year 1.
- Examinations: 50%
- Assignment/class work: 30%
- Group Project: 20%
Integrated assessment is incorporated to ensure that the purpose of the degree is achieved through written examinations, oral examinations, group projects, and assignments.
