  3. Demonstrate how and why paradigms, research designs, and methodology are relevant to the study: The student should be able to explain and justify the choice of paradigms, research designs, and methodology in relation to the research topic.

  4. Criticise learned procedures in the light of historical trends and practices in this and other countries: The student should be able to critique established procedures in Educational Management based on historical trends and practices in different countries.

Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 4:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to address a professional or academic problem with originality and independent thought: The student should showcase originality and independent thinking in addressing professional or academic problems.
  2. Discover new facts, principles, and connections to improve educational practice: The student should be able to uncover new facts, principles, and connections that can enhance educational practice.
  3. Suggest improvements in educational contexts and thus make a significant contribution to the knowledge of a research problem and share with colleagues in the field of Educational Management: The student should propose improvements in educational contexts that contribute significantly to the knowledge base of a research problem in Educational Management and be able to share this with colleagues in the field.

Integrated Assessment:

Assessment is both formative and summative. Formative assessment includes proposal development workshops and seminars, while summative assessment involves evaluating the mini-dissertation by at least three examiners (two internal and one external).
