Law, Military Science and Security - Safety in Society
The purpose of the qualification is to contribute to the development of learners by providing them with knowledge and advanced understanding of theory and research in the fields of Criminology. This will enable learners to explore critical issues related to deviance, conflict, crime, and victimization, with the aim of enhancing safety in society.
The qualification aims to develop competent research abilities and critical thinking skills within the field of Criminology. Learners will be able to critically appraise existing knowledge of deviance, crime, and victimization by conducting independent research in a specialized area within these fields. This will involve reporting research findings in a scientific manner and applying the knowledge gained to explore entrepreneurial possibilities.
The achievement of learning outcomes will be assessed through the various assessment instruments. These include:
