Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 3:

  • Apply a range of research methodologies and techniques in Sport Science research.
  • Discuss principles, scope, theories, and epistemologies in the field of Sport Science clearly.
  • Make sound theoretical judgments based on current research evidence.
  • Produce independent research results in a scholarly manner.

Integrated Assessment:

  • Formative assessment includes practical and class assignments, essays, presentations, informal class tests, formal module tests, research leading to scientific assignments, self-assessment, and group assessment.
  • Summative assessment consists of a written examination in each module.
  • 50% of the final grade is based on formative assessment, and 50% is based on the examination.
  • Learners with a final examination mark of at least 45% may be eligible for a supplementary examination in the relevant module.
