Rationale:

By successfully completing the subject-integrated topics, the learner will furnish proof that she or he is capable of giving a scientific account of and apply the knowledge in the area of social security that she or he has gained through literature study. Furthermore, candidates should be able to demonstrate basic practical skills enabling them to apply the substantive law, management, and social policy skills in a competent and effective manner when providing social security services. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate effective communication, administrative, organizational, and managerial skills that support the role of experts in implementing social security on a daily basis.

  • Tests, assignments, and examinations revealing evidence of learning based on adequacy criteria form part of assessment methods.
