Integrated Assessment
Continuous formative assessment in the form of class tests, homework, written assignments (integrated formative assessment), and semester tests (also integrated by nature) provides the learner with feedback on their progress in achieving specific learning outcomes. This form of assessment typically contributes 50% or more to the module mark.
Summative Assessment
Summative assessment, in the form of a 3-hour written examination, evaluates the extent to which the student has achieved the Exit Level Outcomes of the qualification. This integrated assessment serves as the final judgment of the student's overall performance in the course.
