Purpose and Rationale

Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate a coherent and critical understanding of the theory, research methodologies and techniques relevant to Computer Science and Information Systems.
  2. Rigorously critique and evaluate current research and participate in scholarly debates in an area of Computer Science/Information Systems.
  3. Relate theory to practice and vice versa. 4: Identify, and analyse complex real world problems from a Computer Science/Information Systems perspective, drawing systematically and creatively on the theory, research methods and literature.

Assessment Criteria

Integrated Assessment: The written treatise is a form of Integrated Assessment. It is a written document that provides evidence of an integrated design/research methodology. This includes an extensive literature review, problem formulation, solution design, data collection, and analysis. Students are expected to apply their learned theoretical concepts within the context of this integrated work.
